Moodle for Teachers (M4T) is a 4 week workshop that provides theoretical and practical hands-on experience in creating and managing Moodle courses. M4T will cover the following topics:
- Week 1: Teaching and Learning Online: Why Moodle?
- Week 2: Teaching with Moodle: Who Am I as an Educator? Practice in creating Moodle courses for the final 2 weeks in the team sandboxes
- Week 3: Teaching with Moodle: Supporting Collaboration and Interaction.
- Week 4: Teaching with MOODLE: Assessment for Learning.
The aim of M4T is to help participants learn how to create and manage Moodle courses. The workshop will take place on the IT4ALL Moodle so there will be no need to move to other learning environments. M4T include asynchronous (via the Moodle) (via WiZiQ) components and provide participants with theoretical and practical skills. The workshop demands at least 2 hours of course work a week.

Current Workshops The current workshops are available on WiZiQ in the public sessions under Integrating Technology (IT4ALL) The workshops include:
Language Exchange for Active Life-long learning (LE4ALL) is a workshop in which two or more people of different languages communicate live on the Moodle via WiZiQ by voice/video (webcam), chat box, and files (pdf, word, images, youtube video, and screensharing) or on discussion forums, wikis, blogs, quizzes, poles, WebQuests, and other means on this Moodle for the purpose of learning each others' languages.

Insults, personal attacks, sarcasm, and inappropriate language will not be tolerated. It's fine to disagree strongly about someone's opinions, ideas, or facts, but it should always be carried out with respect for the other person. Please make sure capital letters are off as this is interpreted as shouting.
Administrators and facilitators reserve the right to monitor the content and remove any objectionable material at any time In extreme cases, participants that have shown disrespect will be un-enrolled from the workshops.
Please email one of the facilitators if you feel that a participant on IT4ALL has used inappropriate language in the forums, chats, wikis, emails, or instant messages.

Registration has started for the next M4T-4 free online workshop. M4T-4 will begin on March 2, 2010. The key for M4T-4 is teachingly4. Please access the Moodle for Teachers (M4T) workshop.
The aim of M4T-4 online workshop is to help practitioners learn how to design and teach Moodle courses. Participants will be required to spend at least 8-10 hours a week on reading, practicing hands-online Moodle skills, and participating or watching the recordings of the weekly live online events. M4T-4 will include asynchronous (via the Moodle) (via WiZiQ) components.

Watch the video to learn how to do it. Next, introduce yourselves and add comments to each others' posts in the intro discussion thread. At the end of the workshop, participants that qualify will receive a certificate of completion.
