This is why you are having trouble adding the YouTube Video. Previous posts with embeds like TeacherTube will be fine.

The key is we still want our users to have this ability but we had to provide it in such a way that the sploggers can’t use it. The only solution was to link it to Edublogs Pro and Campus like we had to do with XML-RPC.

Disabling ads on a free Edublogs using a Pro blog will automatically allow the upgraded blog to embed their videos, widgets and slideshows again. You can disable ads on up to 50 student (or other) blogs by going to Pro tab > Upgrade Up to 50 Student blogs".

Edublogs have decided that free blogs will be now "Student blogs": not embeding videos, not mobile blogging, not forums, messages from readers,etc... If you want access to all this you want to upgrade to "Edublogs Pro" or "Edublogs Campus".

I know that Upgrade to Pro is only US$3.33  per month... but  I don´t want to pay for something that is completly free in others sites (educational or not). Thay also said (edublogs.org) that there aren't other blogs that allow embeding videos like edublogs ... well I have two blogs in wordpress and I embeded a Youtube videos yesterday without problems or upgrading requests.

I don't need an acount for 50 students blogs (Edublogs Pro)  because I just have 12 students  and use videos to enrich contents or share cool information with them. Of course I don't get  ( not try) to any monetary retribution from this.

I'm very upset with edublogs because they didn't inform about this change. They just send invitations to upgrade to Pro or Campus without  any warning.  I had to visit all the help/bugs/support forums to find what was going on and discovered others surprised teachers with the same problem.

Now... I'll have to look for another blog site and move all my stuff ...
