Thank you for sharing your ideas on telemdedicine. While I agree that e-learning and good facilitation can benefit the public and cut costs for organizations, how are you going to educate the public on how to learn online. In fact, you would need massive well executed face-to-face campaigns by governments, health care organizations, and maybe community centres to educate the current public on computer literacy.
However, doctors are already taking advantage of telemedicine in saving lives by sharing and collaborating with other doctors around the world.
The 20 Century changed all of that. Calculators and spreadsheets made arithmetic invisible. But in the 21st Century we treat arithmetic as if it still were the basis of higher mathematics. We drill students on number facts so the facile memory does well in arithmetic and the deep thinker is too often called math disabled. A very practical example is the individuals who even though they cannot make change can at least lead productive lives behind the automatic cash registers.
I am not proposing we do not teach computation, but we put arithmetic in its place as a lower level tool and not as the basis of all of mathematics. Ideally, expect the student to use approximation for general accuracy and to fall back on a calculator/computer when precision is essential.

Work is nuts...politics...
Went for a nice bike ride in a park yesterday but feeling it a little today.
Huge congratulations on your oral defence, that is so fantastic. I hope all the stuff going on with Israel / Turkey not too much on your mind. Haven't heard much really - there will be lots of excited talk from Turkish end but hopefully they can do something good out of the situation.
Warmest wishes to you and a massive hug
